TEDxLoyolaMarymountU - TICKETS ON SALE NOW!

On May 17, 2014, TEDxLoyolaMarymountU will be bringing people together to collaborate and dialogue about the best and most innovative ways to foster change in the Los Angeles educational community. At the event, you will hear local and nationally recognized leaders give inventive talks on ways we can approach, address, and improve education in Los Angeles.

Join us in sharing an afternoon that will push us to think critically about the educational realm in Los Angeles and how we can begin conversations around playing a more active role in improving it. Having an audience of educators from around the community will be critical when it comes to engaging with the talks and it will provide you with the chance to network with educational stakeholders from across the city. Below are a few speakers who will push your thinking as you explore the intersection of politics, health, and creativity in education:
Tamar Galatzan, "LAUSD 2.0: Tomorrow’s Classrooms Today"
John Lee, “LA’s Changing Political Landscape“
Steve Zimmer, "LA's Graduation Moment"
Ana Ponce, “Parent Involvement and Grit as a Debt”
Eric Oberholtzer, “The Sustainable Life Project“
Sue Dunlap, “Education’s New Role in Women’s Health”
Tomas O’Gray, “A Garden in Every Los Angeles School”
